Frequently asked questions

Can I pay for a Türkiye eSIM with a Russian card or SBP?

Yes. On the website you pay by a Russian-issued bank card or SBP; in the Telegram bot @moresim_bot you can also pay with Telegram Stars. After payment the QR code appears in your account, and in the bot it arrives in the chat.

Which networks does the eSIM use in Türkiye, and is there 5G?

The Türkiye plan roams on the Vodafone and Türk Telekom (Avea) networks. Some plans list 5G, which works if your phone supports it; the others run on 4G.

When should I install the eSIM, and when do the plan days start?

Install the profile at home over Wi-Fi a day or two before the trip: you cannot install an eSIM without internet. The days count from the first connection to a network in Türkiye, not from the purchase. After landing, turn off flight mode, pick the eSIM for mobile data and turn on data roaming for it.

Do I need to register my phone's IMEI in Türkiye?

IMEI registration applies to foreign phones with a local Turkish SIM: without it the local card stops working after a while. A tourist eSIM that roams on local networks is, as a rule, not subject to it.

Will I get bank SMS and calls to my own number?

A MoreSim eSIM is data only, with no number: people call through messengers. Your home SIM stays in the phone as a second line, and bank SMS reach it if your operator offers roaming. Turn off mobile data on the home SIM so you do not pay for roaming.

What happens when the daily cap or the whole package runs out?

On daily packages the speed drops to 512 kbps or 1 Mbps after the daily cap, but the internet does not cut off. If the data runs out before the end date, top it up in your account or in the bot with «Top up», if the plan allows top-ups.

How many gigabytes do I need for a week in Türkiye?

For one phone: 1–3 GB if you watch video on hotel Wi-Fi; 3–5 GB with excursions, taxis and social media; 5–8 GB for an Istanbul city break with navigation all day. If you share the connection with a laptop, plan on 10 GB or more.

Does the Europe package cover Türkiye?

Yes, Europe package plans also cover Türkiye, which helps if your trip includes several countries. Check the country list on the plan card before buying.
